Of course he did it without reading the instructions properly like all men do {and he didn't screw it up, which is a surprise and a testament to how easy it is to put together}. The Play model we tested did come with a light-up horn, but this is more of a toy than a safety device.

In walking bike mode, the seat vibrates a fair bit when the scooter is deliberately dropped, but everything remains sturdily intact. We’re still in Week 1 and he hasn’t quite got the hang of scooting yet but we take it out with us everyday and he loves to wheel it around himself and get pulled along on it. Globber advises the ride-on mode to be used from around 15 months, which our tester thought was about right – as soon as you’re sure your child can sit and hold on without toppling off! The Globber GO UP is a great first scooter for younger kids and a great way to introduce them to riding, scooting and learning balance.You can use the parent’s handle without the protective fence, but if your little one isn’t so steady yet you’ll probably want to add the guardrail as well so they don’t tumble off while you’re walking around with them. It’s a little tricky to get up high kerbs – our tester ended up either lifting it bodily from the front or spinning round and dragging from the back – but the movement in general is smooth, quick and easy to control.
